Clear it out....

I took the JLPT Level 1 test for the third time in my life and am ashamed to say that I am no where even close to passing. One might say 'What a shame' but I am not at all worried.
I don't care much about the outcome of this test because going there and taking that test is a big achievement for me in the present mental state.

Look,I am so good with my excuses,ha ha..
Come on Abhi, any excuse for failure only suggests that the amount of hard work wasn't enough.

Leaving aside the outcome of JLPT test, there is something more interesting which I would like to share with you. I am pretty sure that most of you might chip in with a valuable comment or two as well.

Well, the story goes like this. The first part of the test was vocabulary test and everything went on very smoothly. There was a pin drop silence in the examination hall which had more than 100 examinees. No one talked, whispered ,sneezed, coughed,or cleared their throats.
The next exam was the listening exam and while we were all waiting for the invigilators to play the CD , I could hear more than 80 percent examinees struggling hard to clear their throats. The whole examination hall gave an impression of a back room of Indian Idol (Ok American Idol if you are against Indians choosing their Idols on your stupid concept) or a hospital ward created specially for pneumonia patients

For a moment I felt like JLPT authorities are running some kind of secret contest where they will ask us to sing a song in Japanese and the top 5 will be awarded with JLPT Level 1 pass certificates without having to take the rest of the test. It wouldn't have made any difference either because I can never win a contest like this.
Me and my friends have full faith in my fine arts abilities and I can't let anyone down.

Also,I had a thought that may be JLPT authorities have suddenly decided to switch the listening test for a reading test and they have notified everyone but I haven't got the information because I did not open my mail box for the last two weeks ( I am dreading those sleezy tissue paper packs with pale and anorexic chicks in the front with a price tag)

Well these were some the possible reasons my infertile brain could think of.
Can any one suggest me what could be the reasons for the sudden SARS outbreak in the examination hall only during the listening test.
Help Help....

  1. Euphoria gripped me when I received the author's invitation thinking that I shall get some good insights of suffering, pain, misery but alas this monologue is not for those who grew up seeing Dilip Kumar, canvasing tragedy with so much perfection. It could have been more better had the author resisted the temptation to walk down the memory lane so early in his life.As world cannot be viewed from roof tops, life can not be defined so early by somebody who is so young and unripe and who has just received a blow, perhaps first major. My suggestion would be to rather than playing on back foot, attack the tragedies with more self generated vigor and skill. Cut loose and enjoy every moment.

  2. 'Coldness' has never been my style, though I wish I acted cold sometimes just for the sake of some diplomacy. I have always learned to express and express hard. Perhaps,I have overdone it on a few occasions but never regret it at all coz, after flushing those emotions from my heart,I have always felt calm and happier.
And walking down the memory lane, especially in this case is like flushing my toilet after dropping a fresh warm brown three pound turd.
You have to keep them flushing, one at a time so that they don't clog your expensive sanitary fittings(Life in this case).

My apologies,if I was mistaken for defining life, never intended to,never will. Life is to beautiful and interesting to fit into any definitions given by we mortals.

We just see and experience the drama as it unfolds.

And as far as back foot play is concerned, any complete batsman is eqally strong on both the feet. Though my natural play has always been on front foot,I need to learn and learn quickly that life is not going to dish out half volleys for me to coverdrive. Everyone needs a sound back foot technique as playing on the back foot gives you just that extra time to read the bounce, pace, swing and spin. That's when you can play those cuts, nudges, pulls etc.

    Let's enjoy this journey together.....
